Matt Porter is a Texas-based educator, designer, and sociocultural anthropologist. As Principal Researcher of Social Redress, his interdisciplinary work focuses on fashion’s intersection with politics and labor by blending qualitative research, creative practice, and local partnerships to generate actionable insights towards designing a better American culture. Matt graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Art & Design, and has earned an MA in Fashion Studies from Parsons School of Design and an MA in Anthropology form UC, Irvine.
