Pilot users seeing great results; online training and video tutorials coming this month

Our email marketing project with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is progressing well. Our time with Huron, the implementation partner, is complete. In June, OIT will release online training modules and video tutorials leading up to expanding the platform to other schools and units for alumni and donor communications. These resources will be directly distributed to current Marketing Cloud users.

We are also working with schools and units to develop and test data extensions and audience lists. Our goal is for the majority of, if not all, schools to use Marketing Cloud for alumni and donor communications by the end of summer.

This fall, we will assess using Marketing Cloud for internal communications across campus from a structure and licensing perspective. Comprehensive training and a communications plan will be shared with internal communications leads at the appropriate time.

Pilot users in the Cox School of Business, Meadows School of the Arts, Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, and Marketing and Communications are seeing great results using the platform, with high open rates and low bounce rates.
