SMU expands Salesforce Marketing Cloud to more schools, units

SMU is making great strides with the implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Over the past month, the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences, Dedman School of Law, Lyle School of Engineering, Perkins School of Theology, Simmons School of Education and Human Development, Guildhall, and CAPE/GOCE have joined the platform. These schools are now actively engaging their alumni and donors with this tool.

We have made significant progress in building and refining data extensions for these units. Additionally, we are using a central calendar to better coordinate messaging across the University, ensuring more streamlined and effective communication.

The next phase, starting this fall, will explore how Salesforce Marketing Cloud can enhance internal communications, involving stakeholders who engage students, faculty and staff.

For ongoing support, training modules and video tutorials from Salesforce and the Office of Information Technology are available on the service page. Stay tuned for more updates!
