Klaus Desmet has been been appointed as a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Klaus Desmet is the Ruth and Kenneth Altshuler Centennial Interdisciplinary Professor in Economics in the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences and joins the NBER in the International Trade & Investment and Political Economy program.
It is a major recognition honoring senior scholars who have made deep impact in their fields, says Economics Chair Santanu Roy: “The NBER is the most prestigious national think tank that brings together researchers in economic policy and empirical economic analysis.”
