The D. E. Shaw group, a global investment and technology firm based in New York City, is now accepting applications for their 2025 fellowships, and they’re inviting second-year undergraduate students to apply!

This unique, three-day educational program offers students insight into the world of finance—no prior experience required. Fellows will participate in interactive seminars, meet senior leaders, and build connections with peers from around the country. Plus, participants will receive a $1,500 stipend, and travel and accommodations are fully covered!

• March programs: Apply by Friday, January 3, 2025

Applications for summer 2025 internships (for 2026 graduates) are also open. Students can apply for multiple roles.

Exciting news! The sixth annual Reducetarian Summit is coming to Dallas from October 25th to 27th, 2024, and two free tickets are available for SMU Economics students!

The summit will focus on strategies to end factory farming, with this year’s theme being “knowledge.” Expect engaging panels, networking opportunities, and an expo featuring leading non-profits and businesses—with delicious samples included!

The Hegi Family Career Development Center invites you to participate in the SMU Fall 2024 All Majors Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, September 17th. The fair will take place in the SMU Indoor Performance Center located on Bishop Boulevard.

This Career Fair is open to all in person and online, undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni from the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences, Dedman School of Law, Cox School of Business, Simmons School of Education, Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering, and Meadows School of the Arts. Employers will be seeking candidates for full and part-time positions and internships.

Partners Real Estate, one of the largest and most influential commercial real estate companies in the state of Texas, is now accepting applications for our Fall Virtual Internship Course. 

• A ten-week program designed to educate attendees about various career opportunities.
• The program is open to all junior, senior, and graduate students, who are considering a career in commercial real estate or financial services.
• The class will meet every Friday for 1.5 hours via Zoom.  The first class will be Friday, September 20^th, 2024.
• Exceptional participants may be offered paid internships, as well as career opportunities. Each class is limited to 30 candidates.
• Students who would like to be considered for the class should fill out the application form below on or before September 13th, 2024.
