The Texas State Historical Association named SMU PhD Graduate Joel Zapata (now assistant professor of history at Oregon State University) winner of the Catarino and Evangelina Hernández Research Fellowship in Latino History for his project titled, “From West Texas to the World: Chicana/o Activist Print Culture and Social Transformation.” The Clements Center is proud to have supported his research. Congratulations, Joel!
