Dr. Katie Condon Receives National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship

Dr. Katie Condon received the prestigious 2025 National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship. This fellowship enables the recipients to set aside time for writing, research, travel, and general career development. Dr. Condon was chosen as one of 35 recipients out of over 2000 eligible applications. Katie Condon is the author of Praying Naked, winner of the Charles B. Wheeler poetry prize. Her poetry has appeared in or is forthcoming from the New Yorker, American Poetry Review, and Ploughshares, as well as the Academy of American Poets’ anthology 100 Poems That Matter. Condon was the 2023 Nadya Aisenberg Fellow at MacDowell and the 2019 Creative Writing Fellow at Emory University.
