The Women’s and Gender Studies Program is sponsoring an event on Wednesday, October 10 at 6:30 pm. It is open to the SMU community and the public. We will be screening the film Spirits Homecoming, based on the story of one the “comfort women” who was a victim of Japanese military sexual slavery. Following the screening, Sinmin Pak, a nationally known advocate for justice for the survivors, will discuss the pilgrimage she undertook this past summer in Japan to raise awareness about the issue.
