Construction has begun on a new parking center on the SMU campus, east of Hillcrest Avenue near Normandy Avenue. The construction site is surrounded by fencing.

Starting the week of October 22 and through the next several weeks, a former residence hall on the site of the new parking center will be demolished. As part of the demolition, workers will be removing segments of the hall in trucks.

Hillcrest Avenue will remain open. However, traffic may occasionally slow as the trucks enter and exit the campus. Drivers are asked to heed instructions of workers using flags to direct traffic.

Construction is expected to continue through December 2019. If you have questions about this project, please contact
