SMU will hold the first in a series of special Centennial Reunions during the upcoming Homecoming weekend, November 3-6.

Centennial Reunions, slated to take place each year throughout SMU’s centennial commemoration period, 2011-2015, will include a number of new events and features and are designed to further engage alumni in SMU’s exciting future.

Reunion-year alumni have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate the centennial of SMU’s founding in 1911 while reconnecting with friends to relive college memories.

Centennial Reunions, this year for the classes of 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006, will feature special mini-reunions for former students with common interests or shared experiences across class years.

Other new events, such as Family Day at the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science, are being planned to accompany traditional favorites, such as Saturday night class parties.

In addition, the Distinguished Alumni Awards (DAA) dinner and presentations will return to campus during the centennial commemoration period.
