Awards

At the end of each school year, the BOA recognizes a number of award winners at the Annual BOA Banquet.

BOA Officer of the Year
Given to the BOA Officer that went above and beyond that year to help the BOA achieve its mission and goals. (This award is nominated by and voted on by the BOA membership)

Coach of the Year
Given to the Coach or team of Coaches that achieved the most with their team; went above and beyond for that year for their team; and/or went above and beyond for the BOA. (This award is nominated by and voted on by the BOA membership plus the BOA chair takes into account the student evaluations)

Judge of the Year
Given to the Judge that helped the most with BOA Intrascholastic competitions and the national competitions the BOA hosts when applicable. (This award is determined by the BOA Chair & Vice-Chair of Public Relations)

Prof. Fred C. Moss Outstanding Graduating Advocate
Given to the outstanding advocate that year that is graduating that May or the previous December. (This award is nominated by and voted on by the BOA membership)

Outstanding 2L Advocate
Given to the outstanding advocate that year that will not be graduating in May and did not graduate the previous December. (This award is nominated by and voted on by the BOA membership)

(When appropriate) Honorary BOA Membership
Given each year but can be awarded to anyone that has significantly contributed to the BOA, its mission, and its goals but cannot or did not become eligible for normal BOA membership. (This award is determined on a year-to-year and case-by-case basis)
