Hispanic Alumni of SMU Board Application

Hispanic Alumni of SMU Board Application

The Hispanic Alumni of SMU Board was established in 1997 as an affinity group that supplements the activities of the Office of Alumni Relations and Engagement. The mission of this organization is to serve as the link between SMU Hispanic alumni and the SMU community, while promoting the Hispanic Alumni of SMU Scholarship.

Expectations of Board Members:
Board Meetings: Attend monthly Board Meetings. Meetings are held either in person on SMU’s East Campus or by conference call.
Service for three years (members can elect to not continue at the end of the fiscal year during their three tenure).
Plan and Attend Events: Attend and help coordinate group networking events, and the Hispanic Alumni Awards Luncheon
Promote the Scholarship: encourage participation in the Hispanic Alumni Scholarship Fund
Make a gift to the Hispanic Alumni Scholarship Fund: As proponents of the Hispanic Alumni Scholarship, members of the Hispanic Alumni Board are expected to make a gift of any amount to the Scholarship each fiscal year. It’s not what you give, but that you give that matters most!

Please submit the form below to confirm your interest in joining the Hispanic Alumni of SMU Board. This application must be submitted, along with a current resume, no later than January 31. Contact ha@alumni.smu.edu with questions or concerns.
