The Alumni Boards of SMU are groups of key volunteers charged with inspiring alumni to go, give, help and connect with SMU and each other. The application process contains three sections and should take you approximately 20 minutes to complete. Note: You are not able to save your work and come back to it later, so please have all the necessary information gathered before you start. Section 1 asks for identifying information and a personal statement. Section 2 is optional and allows you to explain how you can lend your expertise to the Board’s objectives. Section 3 asks for your resume (required for all candidates) and a letter of support (required for self-nominating candidates; optional for those nominated by someone else). This application must be received by January 31, 2026 for consideration in the 2026 Board selection cycle.
