Stephan Haggard, Lawrence and Sallye Krause Professor of Korea-Pacific Studies, and Director of the Korea-Pacific Program (KPP); University of California, San Diego

Stephan Haggard is a political scientist at the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at UC San Diego. His research centers on the international relations, politics, and economics of East Asia and Latin America. His books include The Politics of Growth in the Newly Industrializing Countries; The Political Economy of Democratic Transitions; The Political Economy of the Asian Financial Crisis; and North Korea: Aid, Markets and Reform.
