Manuel García y Griego, Associate Professor of History, University of New Mexico

Dr. Manuel García y Griego is Associate Professor of History at the University of New Mexico, where he also directs the UNM Land Grant Studies Program.  Previously he has held faculty appointments at U.T. Arlington, U.C. Irvine, and El Colegio de México.  He is the author (with Roberto R. Calderón) of Más allá del río Bravo: breve historia mexicana del norte de Texas, published in 2013 by the Diplomatic Archive of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Relations, and numerous articles on U.S.-Mexican relations and international migration to the United States.


Roberto R. Calderón, Associate Professor of History, University of North Texas

CR1Dr. Roberto R. Calderón is Associate Professor of History at the University of North Texas, where he is series editor since 2001 of Al Filo: Mexican American Studies Series, University of North Texas Press. He is the founding faculty advisor for the Mexican American Studies Minor at UNT. Previously he held faculty appointments at the University of California at Riverside and the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is the author (with Manuel García y Griego) of Más allá del río Bravo: breve historia mexicana del norte de Texas, published in 2013 by the Diplomatic Archive of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Relations, and Mexican Coal Mining Labor in Texas and Coahuila, 1880-1930, published in 2000 by Texas A&M University Press.
