The Hills are alive….

with music. The Ima Leete Hutchison Concert Series 2009 arrived on the Taos campus on July 19th and students were taking advantage of the beautiful setting and great mountain air to practice their instruments. The students performed chamber music at an evening concert for the community on July 23 at the Taos Gallery and on July 25 on the SMU-in-Taos campus.

with rattlesnakes. The plentiful rain this spring and large field mice population has brought out the rattlesnakes. Students walking across campus must keep an eye out on paths for these coiled snakes, and lower the volume on their ipods in order to hear the rattle.


On Tuesday, July 28, we were surprised when an afternoon thunderstorm turned into a hailstorm and left the campus looking like a Christmas card.
