Students in Dr. Ubelaker’s upper division biology course on parasitology have been hard at work trapping field mice around Fort Burgwin. Peanuts coated with peanut butter are placed in traps set amidst the bushes and grasses on campus every evening.
After the field mice are trapped, they are dissected and examined for parasites.

Students also go on several hikes -the most challenging is to the top of Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico.

At the summit, Central University Libraries own Porsche Vaughn signs a log book that is kept in a metal tube for all successful mountaineers to sign.
