Daniel is a junior BFA Film student attending Southern Methodist University. He currently works as a night-shift lifeguard and as an advertising director with Vault Security. He has made freelance web promotional videos for smaller companies in the White Rock Lake area. He has also made training videos for pilots while interning at Southwest Airlines. While focused specifically on directing and writing, he enjoys working with both production and post-production sound, and hopes to bring some good quality sound to his first feature film. Daniel is currently exploring his options for post-grad life, but is focusing mostly on his senior thesis project.

Scott Bolton is a senior from Overland Park, Kansas majoring in Film & Media Arts with minors in Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship. Over the past 3 years, he has had two internships and freelanced with several production houses around Dallas, including Slice Media and The Distillery Media. He has also has been worked as a wedding videographer as well as an assistant camera operator and editor for SMU Basketball. Scott is extremely excited to build on his lighting experience from the last Summer Film Production and couldn’t be happier concluding his college career making another wonderful movie with all of his friends!

Jayson is a sophomore from Burbank, California double majoring in Film & Media Arts and Economics at SMU. Jayson was the director of the 2012 Student Filmmakers Association short film “Can’t Go Back,” and he is the writer of this year’s SFA short, “I Love You Jane.” Jayson has enjoyed all of his experiences on set, and he is looking forward to collaborating with his fellow film majors while working as the Assistant Camera on his first feature. Jayson loves learning, music, and film, and hopes to one day make a living as a filmmaker.

Meet Our Director of Photography: SOPHIA BASILIADIS

Worst Job Ever: Janitor at MIT, but then they saw I, “was one of the most gifted minds to ever enter their classrooms.”

Sophia graduated from SMU in December of 2011 with a BA in Film & Media Arts. She’s been working in the freelance arena with companies such as 1820 Productions, VH1, ESPN, Flywheel, Quixotic Enterprises and Klekamp Group. Over the past two years she has crewed-up and camera operated for commercials, corporate events, live sports, short films, weddings, and web series. She truly believes no job is too small and every set offers an opportunity to learn. She is ecstatic to return to the SMU Summer Feature Film project as a humble leader, ready to work and grow with old and new friends.

Kelsey Cordutsky is a junior from Denver, Colorado majoring in marketing, creative advertising and graphic design at SMU. She works on campus as an RA and also as an ad designer for the SMU newspaper, the Daily Campus. Over the past summer Kelsey worked two different graphic design internships, one at Infinite Agency and one at the Seacrest Studios in Dallas where she dabbled in broadcast. She is excited to tap into the film industry as well while working on Legacy. After graduation, she plans to work in the advertising industry at an agency on the creative side in a larger city and continue to build her portfolio.

Amanda Presmyk is a senior Film & Media Arts and Journalism double major at SMU. She hails from Southlake, Texas and works at See Spot Run, a video production company that makes pretty cool things. Amanda is looking forward to finishing up her career at SMU doing what she loves (film), but mostly just hopes she’ll get a megaphone on set. After graduation, she plans on packing her bags and heading to NYC to join the ranks of the scrappy indie filmmakers she calls her heroes.

Cydney is a senior from San Antonio, Texas double majoring in Film & Media Arts and Psychology at SMU. She developed a love of filmmaking back in high school while attending the Northeast School of the Arts. She is excited to see this project from conception to exhibition while working with an amazing team to produce this feature thriller. Following graduation Cydney plans to continue working on various film projects in the Dallas area and hopefully begin law school to further develop her interest in the cinema with a focus in entertainment law.

Geenah is a junior from Little Rock, Arkansas double majoring in Film & Media Arts and Journalism at Southern Methodist University. She works at Dreamfly Productions where she is the Associate Producer of Inside the Huddle, a weekly televised talk show with the Dallas Cowboys. Geenah is excited to put her love for people and abnormal yen for planning and organizing to good use as the producer on her first feature film. Geenah is in love with learning and hopes to attend law school to further her abilities in producing.

Rachel is a senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma majoring in Film & Media Arts with a double minor in Studio Art and Psychology at Southern Methodist University. She experiences frequent cinematic visions usually lasting a period of five to ten minutes in which she has to sit down. Rachel is a first-time feature director who looks forward to combining her love of storytelling with her macabre fascinations. After graduation Rachel hopes to travel, with frequent trips back to Dallas to help oversee post-production on the Summer Feature Production film.
