That’s right, big news: we’ve chosen the script for the next Summer Film Production, meaning the 2013-15 SFP is now truly underway! And the winner is:
Delirium, a psychological thriller by SMU Film senior Esther Tshibangu. Congratulations to Esther, who will work with SMU screenwriting instructor Prof. Paula Goldberg this semester to revised and polish the script, getting it as strong as possible before it goes into production.
As for the Summer Film Production, it now moves into the next stage, which is the selection of a directing/producing team. An overview of the application process can be found under “Director/Producer Selection” here, and more details are covered in the SFP FAQs, available here.
The application deadline is October 31st, 2013.
Those interested in applying to direct and/or produce should send the SFP an email here to request a copy of the script. Good luck, and as always if you have questions you can contact us at SMUSummerFilm@gmail.com.
