Presented by Gary Pavela, a leading authority on campus security, the seminar will address critical issues including:
• The range of options campuses have in identifying and responding to at-risk students
• The current data on frequency of violent crimes on campus
• The association between mental illness and violence
• The legal and policy implications of removing clinically depressed/suicidal students from campus
• The benefits of properly designed “threat assessment” protocols and incident response teams
• Faculty roles in identification, outreach and referral of at-risk students.

Because the program is live and interactive, you’ll also have the chance to pose your own questions, and hear the concerns, challenges and success stories of other attendees nationwide
