An update from Kate, a senior financial consulting and economics major, and the site leader:
Our group of nine students and one staff member will be working with the United States Forest Service and doing a variety of environmental work in Coker Creek, Tennessee. We’ll be nestled in the mountains of the Cherokee Forest in a little place called Coker Creek Village.
I’m excited to see what exactly they have for us to do this week, and I will make sure the rest of the participants help write about that as soon as we get there. We’re about to leave SMU (it’s almost 8 p.m. on Sunday) and we have a long 14-hour drive ahead of us. We can’t wait to tell all about our trip!
