An experience to remember

My time at Our Friends’ Place has finally come to an end. This experience has meant so much to me and taught me so much. Without the assistance of the Maguire and Irby Family Foundation, I would not have been able to become a part of such an amazing organization.

Our Friends’ Place is a very special organization. This holds true not only for me, but for many, many other individuals. Our Friends’ Place changes the lives of young girls and women for the better. I am honored to have been given the opportunity to make such an impact in the lives of many girls and young women.

I can honestly say that Our Friends’ Place has changed who I am, as well. I have learned to value hard work, even more than I had before. I have learned the value of helping the community around you. Public service is valuable, and I would definitely recommend public service opportunities for everyone. Volunteering and giving personal time toward a good cause is an extremely valuable experience. It strengthens the community and the soul.

Because I have valued my experience here at Our Friends’ Place so much, I have decided to stay on as a volunteer and PRN staff member. The relationships I have developed while at Our Friends’ Place will hold true for many, many years. The experience I have gained and the memories will last a lifetime!
