Human Rights Dallas Summit At SMU: Taking ‘Unified Steps Forward’

When hundreds of city and county leaders gathered at SMU July 9 for the first Human Rights Dallas summit, the city was openly grieving the murder of five police officers in downtown Dallas July 7. The long-planned summit was hosted by SMU’s Embrey Human Rights Program. Participants vowed to stay connected via social media and create a variety of educational opportunities designed to continue the dialogue.
