Mark Midyett ’86

Mark Midyett has been elected to the national board of directors of ShelterBox USA, an international humanitarian relief organization that delivers emergency tented shelter and other essentials needed by families to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster.

Midyett has raised awareness and funds in support of ShelterBox’s relief efforts as a volunteer ambassador since August 2011. He also has served on the organization’s development committee.

Midyett is a real estate professional with Keller Williams Realty in Sarasota, FL. Prior to joining the firm, he was executive vice president of Anexio, an IT services provider serving Florida’s Gulf Coast. Midyett earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from SMU and is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota.

ShelterBox is currently responding to needs in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, flooding in Zimbabwe and volcanic eruptions in Indonesia. The organization also  provides emergency shelter to those affected by the Syrian refugee crisis.
