AmandaKovachAmanda Kovach is pursuing her dream of becoming a business owner by opening a Pure Barre studio in Allen. The studio launch is planned for August 18.

While at SMU, Kovach was a member of the SMU Pom Squad, worked in the business school as a business law teaching assistant and completed internships at SMU-in-Taos and Deloitte.

She graduated with honors from the Cox School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and joined a management consulting firm, where she worked with top five U.S. banks to create IT solutions for mortgage operations. Simultaneously, she served as a fitness instructor at Pure Barre in Dallas for nearly four years.

In January,  she decided to open her own Pure Barre, a boutique fitness studio with more than 200 locations across the country.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Pure Barre to Allen,” she says. “The principle behind Pure Barre is to work imperative muscles using small, isometric movements, and then stretch them back out, which creates long, lean and strong physiques. The workout is low-impact and designed for women of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels.”
