SMU Women’s Swimming Heads To NCAA Championship

Five individuals and three relays from SMU’s Women’s Swimming and Diving team will compete in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship March 19-21. Head Coach Steve Collins was named the 2015 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Mustangs to a first-place finish at The American Championship. This was the 10th time Collins has earned the honor since the Mustangs’ 1990 season (American 1x, CUSA 3x, WAC 2x, SWC 4x).

On the heels of its first regular season championship since 1993 and its first conference tournament championship since 1988, the SMU men’s basketball team earned a No. 6 seed in the South Region when the pairings for this season’s NCAA Tournament were announced on Sunday. The Mustangs will face No. 11 seed UCLA on Thursday at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
