Are You Close Enough?: SMU Libraries as Learning Spaces

AreYouCloseEnoughStudent

Marking 100 years since the first university library was founded in Dallas Hall, 2013 is being celebrated at SMU as the Year of the Library.  Here at the Hamon Arts Library, we are very pleased to be hosting the digital meta-exhibition Are You Close Enough?: SMU Libraries as Learning Spaces, which examines the creation of the Post Chiaroscuro: Prints in Color after the Renaissance exhibition currently on display in the Hawn Gallery at the Hamon Arts Library.  Also depicted in the meta-exhibition are the ways in which Dr. Lisa Pon of the Art History Departement has incorporated the rich collections of the SMU Libraries and the Meadows Museum in her History of Western Printmaking, 1400-1750 class this fall.  Are You Close Enough? is running concurrently with the Post Chiaroscuro exhibition in the Mildren Hawn Exhibition Gallery in the Hamon Arts Library through December 13, 2013.
