In March 2010, I visited Perkins School of Theology for the first time. During the visit I attended service in Perkins Chapel. I didn’t know what to expect, but I never expected what I experienced. I can’t put it into words, but as I was sitting there praying, I knew that this was where God was calling me. Today I look back on that experience and I know why: during my four years at Perkins I experienced transformation. I learned more than I ever imagined I would; about theology, pastoral care, preaching, and about myself. I found myself, my faith, and my future.

Perkins School of Theology isn’t just a school, it’s a community. I’ve built friendships with professors and fellow classmates that I will forever cherish. We’ve laughed together, cried together, and broken bread together. I carry all these memories as I go forward in my life and ministry.
