Craig C. Hill became the 11th dean of Perkins School of Theology on July 1, 2016. A New Testament scholar, Dean Hill previously served on the faculty of Duke Divinity School, where he was executive director of the Doctor of Ministry and Master of Christian Practice programs. He was also a research professor of theological pedagogy.

Rev. Dr. W. Craig Gilliam is the director of the Center for Pastoral Excellence for the Louisiana Conference of the UMC; part of the Just Peace collaborative staff; has a private practice and is adjunct instructor at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University. Craig has 25 years of experience with both religious communities and other organizations. His areas of expertise are conflict transformation, leadership education, team building and group process.
