Southern Methodist University libraries added 477 items into our CONTENTdm collections in September. Central University Libraries now has approximately 19,000 published items.

Below are some highlights from September:

- 13 items from the Collection of Civil War and military cartes de visite and portraits

- 6 items from the Alexander Gardner cartes de visite and portraits

- 37 photographs from Partridge’s Alaska photographs, 1887

- 18 items from the Locomotive builders’ photographs

- 186 items uploaded and/or annotated in the Lawrence T. Jones III Texas Photographs collection

- 15 reproduction orders, including 8 photographs by Jack Kilby; a photo of Martin Luther King speaking at SMU in 1966; and 6 items from the Horton Foote collection.

- 20 aerial photographs from the 1930s, including Palm Beach and Long Island estates and the Empire State Building, by Robert Yarnall Richie

- 81 student newspapersfrom 1928
