Thompson Barro, SMU Class of 2014, brings a ‘cool, calm and collected’ nature to the mustangconsulting team. As an Economics major with Financial Applications, Thompson is an analytical thinker who enjoys crunching numbers. His research ability is coveted by many of our clients and helps mustangconsulting use econometric analysis to develop more effective strategies to achieve client objectives. Thompson was drawn to mustangconsulting by the impact our work has both on SMU’s campus and in the communities of our clients.
Thompson is a determined worker and his teammates trust him to get the job done. He is accomplished at putting his head down and working countless hours until a project is perfect.
Thompson’s past internships have included a market research and business development role with a top real estate advisory services firm and a legislative internship with U.S. Congressmen Rodney Alexander, who represented Louisiana’s 5th district in the House of Representatives in Washington D.C. Past supervisors praise Thompson’s work ethic and ability to easily integrate into a team environment.
