Irisa Ona

197a165Irisa Ona, SMU Class of 2015, brings a creative twist to the mustangconuslting team as a Creative Advertising, Communications and Public Relations Major. We are constantly amazed by Irisa’s huge imagination and the beautiful digital designs she is able to create for mustangconsulting clients. Don’t let Irisa fool you, she is just as right brained as she is left and also works as one of the team’s researchers. Her mix of design skills and communication research talents makes Irisa a unique asset to the mustangconsulting team and all of our clients.

Irisa comes to the team with ample internship experience, having worked as a Marketing Assistant at Meadows Museum, Communications Intern at SMU Catholic and a Marketing Intern and Computer Systems Operator at Morgan Stanley. She has also used her research skills in analytical projects with the United Methodist Church, millennials in the workplace, and cultural intelligence for a food and service organization.

On campus, Irisa has served as the President of SMU Catholic, the Program Director for SMU AIGA, a TEDxSMU Young Fellow, a Faith and Learning Scholar, and the Communications Chair of Student Senate. Working with these organizations has inspired Irisa to pursue a career after graduation that will focus on improving the lives of others. She hopes to continue her education in human-centered design before working for a design and innovation consultant firm. In this role she plans to improve lives and communities by tackling design problems using creative solutions.

Irisa’s own passion for education is what drove her to join the mustangconsulting team. She believes that experiential learning is the best way to master your craft and as a result has dedicated countless hours to client work as student consultant.

Irisa was born in the Phillipines but was raised in Dallas, Texas. She loves playing guitar, and watching movies and TED Talks with friends. Her creative portfolio can be found here – irisaona.com
