There is a special excitement in a concert of contemporary music written by living composers.

In this concert from SMU’s Division of Music, audiences can depend on variety and energy as student composers taught by professors Robert Frank, Kevin Hanlon, Lane Harder and Xi Wang share what will be milestones in these emerging composers’ careers.

The concert is free, and it will be held on November 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m.

Our Emerging Sounds Concerts are student-organized events that help give students’ real-life experience in promoting and organizing concert events. Check out the ad created by Gillian Perry (BM Music Composition & BFA Film Double Major, Meadows, 2017).
