Master Your Monsters (Teaser)

MYM-still1

This summer, SMU Film alumni and the Division of Film and Media Arts joined forces to create a short film of monstrous proportions. The Meadows School for the Arts Bob Hope Lobby was overrun with zombies, a Terminator, and at least one Nosferatu.

The short will debut soon through SMU Meadows. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the teaser–shot and produced by SMU Film alums and the Division of Film & Media Arts–and keep an eye out for the full-length film.

In celebration of SMU’s Family Weekend, the Meadows Opera Theatre presented an electric assortment of scenes from opera and musical theatre that delve into volatile interpersonal dynamics: Battling brothers, secretive sisters, panicked parents! Scenes were presented from Fiddler on the Roof, Little Women, and Next to Normal. The show, in honor of Family Weekend, was entitled: “We are family–get up everybody and sing!”

Photographer Kim Leeson was on hand to capture the lunchtime performance at Meadows.
