As you start to move in and begin your life as a Mustang, we would like to help you adjust to your life on campus with a few important IT-related tips and resources related to life on campus.
Securely Connect to the SMU Networks
There are several options for connecting to the SMU campus network once you are on campus. To securely connect your computer or mobile device wirelessly, choose the PerunaNet Wi-Fi network, and log in using your SMU ID and password. Of course, the wired network will provide the best performance and security.
Please Note: Wireless printers and certain smart devices, such as voice-activated assistants, smart TVs, and gaming consoles, will need to be registered and connect to SMU_Guest. In addition, personal routers are not permitted on any SMU networks and will be disconnect from the network once detected.
Also, if the wireless goes down in your room, please call 214-768-HELP. We can fix it, but only if we know about it.
