SMU Retirement Plan Transition to Diversified

As announced last week, the quiet period is now over and the transition of the SMU Retirement Plan to Diversified is complete.   You can now sign in at to check your balance, make changes to your account, and use Diversified’s helpful planning tools and calculators.

If you didn’t set up access to your Diversified account prior to the beginning of the quiet period, please do so now. 

  • Go to and click on  New? Enroll in your plan (under Sign in to your retirement plan).
  • Follow the instructions to create your Customer ID and Password.

If you haven’t designated your beneficiaries, please do so now.

  • Go to and sign in to your account.
  • Click on Account Information>Beneficiary Information>Add Beneficiary.
  • Important:  If you wish to designate more than one Primary beneficiary or more than one Contingent beneficiary, scroll down to the end of the document to add additional beneficiaries.

Consider Diversified’s e-documents service.  Each time your quarterly statement or other documents are prepared, you will receive an e-mail letting you know that they are available online.

  • To sign up, go to and sign in to your account.
  • Click on Account History> e-documents.
