Additions and Changes to Professional Development Opportunities

Additional Opportunity added to the schedule:

Basics of Graphic Recording
Visual facilitation is capturing much attention lately for its ability to provide a fresh approach to meeting design and output.  One of the tools of visual facilitation is Graphic Recording; defined very simply as visually capturing information in real time.

What do Graphic Recorders Do?
Graphic recorders are scribes who listen, transcribe, and synthesize information in various settings.

The process of graphic recording provides a unique, visual experience in one of two ways:

1. Facilitation — participants engage with and co-create group memory in tandem with the facilitator and graphic recorder

2. Recording — the recorder uses listening skills to reflect the conversation back to the group as it is occurring in real time

Not an Artist?  Fear Not!
While being able to present the information in a format that is visually attractive, the most important skills of graphic recording are listening, prioritizing and synthesizing information.
