Librarians Team Up for SMU’s Relay For Life Event on April 15

Wellpower is proud to introduce “Libraries Bookin’ It for Life”, a Relay For Life team formed by Central University Librarians staff to advocate for a great cause, promote team spirit, and extend their student outreach efforts.

Relay for Life at SMU is a yearly event to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society honor those who have battled cancer, and increase awareness about cancer and cancer research. So far, more than 403 participants on 38 teams have raised $27,820 for the 2011 Relay for Life event to be held on April 15.

The CUL team has had great support from its members as well as from Dean and Director of Central University Libraries, Gillian M. McCombs.

Team Leader, Pat Van Zandt encourages other departments to join Relay For Life for a great team building opportunity for next year!
