It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Some people love football season. Some people love Halloween. Some people love the holiday season. Some people love Spring Break. This girl LOVES SMU Homecoming!!!
Yes, I truly do believe that homecoming is one of SMU’s greatest traditions. Firstly, when else do all sorts of different organizations from across the campus pair up to paint wooden Perunas, decorate banners, paint local store windows, and build an AWESOME float according to a crazy theme like Disney movies, cities, or board games? Secondly, what other event fosters so much Pony Pride that SMU alumns from years back return to the Hilltop to celebrate their school spirit?
Get my gist? Homecoming absolutely rocks. It’s so much fun to be able to get together with members of my organization and let my creative juices flow while I paint our themed Peruna, and there is no better way to bond with someone than pomping (putting tissue paper on) a massive float into the small hours of the morning. Homecoming really brings out the SMU spirit and provides an opportunity for Mustangs from all walks of life to get together, make new friendships and support their school.
Homecoming is this coming weekend, and I am SO excited to see all the hard work that everyone has put in come to fruition during the Homecoming Parade and visit with all of the returning SMU Alumns this year. Homecoming really is the best!
