Great news! SMU has started to put up the Christmas lights in front of Dallas Hall! What does this mean? Let me introduce you to one of SMU’s favorite traditions here on the Hilltop: Celebration of Lights! This “celebration” is put on by our very own Student Foundation. This year they are presenting the 33rd annual Celebration of Lights on Sunday, December 5th. Thousands of White Christmas lights will be lining SMU’s campus in front of Dallas Hall. This celebration kicks-off the winter holiday season by lighting the Christmas Tree (in front of Dallas Hall), Dallas Hall and the Main Quad. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and people from the community all come out to enjoy hot cocoa and apple cider with the SMU community and sing songs by candlelight, as well as live performers and to hear the Christmas story
read by our University President, R. Gerald Turner. Keep posted for an entry after the celebration has happened!

This weekend we all need to cross our fingers for our Mustang Football team to win big in order for us to become bowl eligible, again! Go Mustangs!
