So basically this week’s blog was inspired by the warm (fresh from the
oven I might add) cookies I had with my lunch at Umph. There are so
many dining options on campus that you certainly won’t go hungry! RFoC
(Real Food on Campus) is located on the bottom floor of Umphrey Lee
and houses an incredible dessert bar, organic and home cooking
station, a made-to-order stir-fry/pasta location and lots of other
options! In addition to RFoC there are other dining choices around
campus that can be dined at using Flex or Pony dollars (they basically
work as cash and are two options to add to your meal-plan). In the
basement of the Hughes-Trigg student center is Chick-fil-a, Subway and
Pizza Hut – all three hopping with students between classes. Also, my
personal favorite (I’m there practically every morning!), Einstein’s
Bagels sits in the bottom of the Cox School of Business. For those
late nights, Java City (coffee and smoothies in Hughes-Trigg) and
Mac’s Place (the other central dining location on campus located on
the main-floor of McElvaney ) provide great choices for late night
munchies. Finally, for grocery needs, the Market in Hughes-Trigg (with
a great sandwich/soup/baked potato deli too!) takes care of any food
or personal essentials! There are so many great options for dining on
campus: but, as with any discussion of food, you must include the fact
that Dallas has the largest restaurant per capita ratio in the
country! That’s a lot of food! We definitely don’t go hungry and
Dedman (our state-of-the-art recreation center) gets a lot of use so
all of the Mustangs don’t gain the freshmen (or sophomore or junior or
senior) 15!

Have a great weekend y’all! Pony Up
