While the H1N1 virus is on everybody’s minds, it is certainly on SMU’s mind as well. The Memorial Health Center, SMU’s on-site medical clinic, is already preparing for students, faculty and staff to jump at the chance at getting both of the flu shots this fall. Staying healthy is even tougher to maintain on a college campus, as I am sure you can imagine, but our wonderful health center definitely makes it easier. Memorial is conveniently and centrally located on campus, seeing that it is next to our main cafeteria, across the boulevard from our Cox School of Business and practically situated right smack dab in the center of our North quad of residence halls. Our clinic is staffed by full time physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory and x-ray technologists. The best thing is- most of the services offered are free for students! Other services are also available to students, such as counseling. With the weather beginning to change in Dallas, students are sure to not feel their best and our health center will be right there to help them get to feeling great again. I hope everyone is having a great week and remember – wash your hands!
