2011 Tate Lecture with Tina Brown to be rescheduled

Due to the breaking news of Osama bin Laden’s death, Newsweek Editor Tina Brown will reschedule her season-ending Tate Distinguished Lecture, according to a message from SMU News dated May 2, 2011:


Because of breaking news on the death of Osama bin Laden, Tina Brown, as editor of Newsweek, will be unable to travel to Dallas to deliver the Tate Distinguished Lecture on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. The lecture will be rescheduled and will be announced as soon as possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. At the same time, we recognize that her future visit will provide even more compelling information on the news of the world.

Tickets for the May 3 lecture will honored on the rescheduled date. Check the Tate website for updates.
