Faculty in the News: Oct. 30, 2008

Bruce Bullock, Maguire Energy Institute, talked about why the recent drop in gas prices probably will not jump-start consumer spending with The Los Angeles Times Oct. 28, 2008.

Scott MacDonald, Southwest Graduate School of Banking, compared the current financial crisis with difficult times in the past and discussed how loss of confidence has affected markets in a Fort Worth Business Press article published Oct. 20, 2008.

Cal Jillson, Political Science, discussed the structural challenges faced by the Republican Party with The Canadian Press Oct. 23, 2008. He also talked about whether the Texas Democratic Party’s new energy can translate to winning races in the North Texas suburbs with The Dallas Morning News Oct. 19, 2008.

In addition, Jillson provided expertise for a story on national scrutiny of voter registration efforts by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Oct. 19, 2008.
