Sweet Honey rocks Art & Soul 2008

Theology Dean William Lawrence and Perkins Director of Public Affairs Roberta Cox (second from right) greeted Grammy-nominated a cappella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock at their concert in Dallas’ Majestic Theatre Oct. 3, 2008. The performance was sponsored by Perkins School of Theology‘s quadrennial program Art & Soul. The group’s music blends the sounds of blues, spirituals, gospel, African chants, ancient lullabies, and jazz improvisation and includes light-hearted audience participation.
