Can’t get enough of the Halloween season? Get your freak on with some frightfully fun campus activities:
- Scary fashions and slamming dance moves prevail at the Group X Blast From the Past aerobics party, 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 on Basketball Court 1, Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports. All Dedman Center members and guests are invited to the ’80s-themed festivities; no Group X pass is required. Put on your L.A. Gear and punk-rock hair to learn the choreography from Michael Jackson’s Thriller video, participate in a Madonna tribute workout and MC Hammer hip-hop class, and compete for costume prizes including a first-place award of an unlimited Group X workout pass for Spring 2008.
- Get creative at The Great Pumpkin Search of SMU. The entire community is invited to bring a carved pumpkin (or to carve one on-site) from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 31 at The Falls, Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports. Judging takes place at 6 p.m., and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Pumpkins will be on display beginning Oct. 28.
- The SMU Preschool holds its annual Halloween Parade beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 31. Come out to Bishop Boulevard to smile and wave, and feel free to bring treats for SMU’s littlest tricksters.
