December graduation ceremony gets new look, new location

Major changes mark SMU’s 2007 December Graduation Convocation with a move to Moody Coliseum and – for the first time – a faculty processional. The ceremonies take place Dec. 15. Read more.

The December graduation, previously held in McFarlin Auditorium in three separate ceremonies, has never before had enough space and seating to accommodate a faculty processional, says University Registrar John Hall. “With the move to Moody we will have lots of space, and the faculty will be encouraged to wear their regalia and march,” he says.

The 2007 December Graduation Convocation takes place at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 in Moody Coliseum. A faculty dinner will precede the ceremonies at 5:45 p.m. in the Blanton Student Services Building, where the march to Moody will begin.

RSVP online at the Registrar’s December Graduation Web site.
