The Writer’s Garret seeks literary projects

The Writer’s Garret is seeking literary arts projects of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. We are also looking for possible venues willing to donate their space to increase visibility and / or to connect more deeply with the DFW literary arts scene.

Additionally, we are seeking individuals and literary arts groups who are interested in working with us to serve our mission: “To foster the education and development of readers, writers, and audiences by putting them in touch with quality literature, each other, and the communities in which they live and write.”

Individuals may be writers, scholars, expert readers, literary speakers, playwrights, multidisciplinary artists (with a clear literary connection), slam poets, songwriters, performers, or others. Groups may include writers’ organizations, book or writing clubs, literary festivals, publishing houses, language arts departments, nonprofits, or others. Again, a literary connection should be present.

We are especially interested in those possessing expertise in literary genres or language arts programming ideas (panels, readings, topics of discussion, literary themes, etc.).
We’re open to your ideas and suggestions!

(If you want to know the kinds of programs we typically host, check out our website: http:/www.writersgarret.org )

Here’s what you do: Send an email to CAMP@writersgarret.org that includes 2-5 paragraphs describing your project idea/venue/credentials, interest, and contact information.

We’d also like to know the following:

1.) If you will or do live within driving distance of Dallas, Texas; 2.) If you require remuneration, or if you are willing to donate services to The Writer’s Garret; and 3.) If you have any suggestions and contact information for others we should be contacting.

For more information, call 214.828.1715 or email us at camp@writersgarret.org .
