It is hard to believe I am a third year at SMU. While my penchant for reading certainly explains my English major, I feel the need to satisfy my curiosity for culture and history beyond the pages of books.
This coming spring I will be studying abroad at Queen Mary, University of London. Watching a play at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, spending an entire day at the British Museum, and visiting the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square will allow me to immerse myself in a different culture and learn about its most intimate details.
To say that I am enthused about studying abroad is an understatement. I hope to gain a deeper intellectual understanding of the world from my travel experience.
