SMU Participates in the Dallas Martin Luther King Jr. Day City-Wide Parade.

MLK Unity Walk

Tuesday, January 23 | 12:00 PM | Begins at HTSC Commons

Gather with SMU President R. Gerald Turner and student leaders to participate in our annual Unity Walk. This time together is a great demonstration of our commitment as a university to the work of Dr. King.

MLK Day of Service

Saturday, January 27| 10:30 am – 3:30 pm | Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports 

Register for MLK Day of Service and make a difference in Dallas on Saturday, January 27, 2018! Fill out the form linked here, to serve with a Dallas non-profit organization while connecting with other students and community members.

Registered volunteers will receive:

  • FREE food
  • a T-shirt
  • transportation to service sites/back to campus

Transportation & Registration Guidelines

  • ALL student participants are required to use the transportation provided.
  • To ensure an accurate head count, each person is responsible for her/his own registration; one person cannot register a group or team.
